Maamoul With Hanaa Oats

INGREDIENTS

  • •       2 1/4 cups Hanaa Oats Whole Grain

    •       1/3 cup starch

    •       1/2 tsp yeast

    •       1/8 tsp baking powder

    •       1 tsp of sugar or honey

    •       1 tsp of maamoul spices

    •       1/8 teaspoon salt

    •       3 teaspoons margarine, oil or butter

    •       1/4 cup oil

    •       7 tablespoons low-fat or skimmed yoghurt (not milk)

PREPARATION

In a bowl mix all the dry ingredients and leave them on the side.

In a small saucepan on high heat, add the ghee and oil until it becomes

very hot and immediately pour it on the oats mixture

Mix with a wooden spoon.

  1. Add yoghurt and stir until a paste is formed
  2. Start by making the maamoul balls and fill them with the date paste
  3. Design as desired and place in a tray on baking paper and bake in the
  4. oven for 15 minutes from below and 15 minutes from above.
  5. After the Maamoul completely cools, sprinkle with sugar powder

Notes:

1- When making the dough, start forming it immediately while its warm

because the oat by nature absorbs liquids quickly

2- If the dough dries, add a spoonful of milk and knead

3- Don't touch the maamoul until it's completely cool so that it doesn't

break
